Well this week is turning out to be a rough one so far. Everyday, it has almost taken me two hours to get to work because of traffic and accidents. I always thought when the public school system lets out for summer break, traffic is supposed to be lighter. If this doesn’t turn out to be true as it has in the past, I’ll be having to get up earlier just to make sure I make it in on time to work.
Today, I am trying to sign up for two college classes for Summer 2005. If I can get these two classes done that will leave only three more classes until I graduate and make graduating in Fall 2005 with my B.S. in Computer Science a very real possibility. The only problem is I need to do independent studies for most of them. Both of the instructors for the courses have been e-mailed and I am crossing my fingers that they will cooperative.
On top of all that though, I received a letter the other day stating the registrar was deleting me from their records as I have been inactive for the past year. This is very unfortunate as I was unable to attend the past year, because of the lay offs and other things going on at work. However, now I am in a stable enough position to attend again. So I called them and it turns out the date for readmission has past! But I went ahead and resubmitted to become active again and I hope that some rules can be bent so I can attend these two classes I need to attend. I’ll know something more by the end of the day and I hope its good news, because I really do not want to keep having to put off taking the five final courses I need to graduate.
Anyway, life goes on I suppose and there is no point in me stressing out over it. Luckily, last night I was able to relax some and sat down to watch The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and Vampires: The Turning. The Life Aquatic wasn’t as funny as I thought it would be, but was still good in a The Royal Tenenbaums and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea kind of way. I would give it a 3/5. Also, Vampires: The Turning was good for a movie that didn’t really get any marketing. The action and storyline were all fairly well done, but it appeared to fall apart somewhat at the end. If you are into the vampire genre, then you would like this too. Overall, I give it a 3/5.
Welp, its back to work for me.
